The Algona Boys’ wrestling team qualified eleven wrestlers for the state wrestling tournament in Des Moines later this week. If five of those wrestlers are still competing on Friday, school will be dismissed at 1:00 pm. A message will go out Thursday night about whether we will get out at 1p m. on Friday or if we will have a regular school day.

Our Elementary schools always dismiss 15 minutes prior to the announced early dismissal time. Dismissal is 1:15 today for Middle School and High School. 1:00 for Elementary buildings.

Due to the cancellation of tonights' boys' basketball games against Iowa Falls-Alden, the Annual After Prom Cake Raffle Fundraiser has been postponed to tomorrow, Saturday, February 15th, in conjunction with the girls' basketball playoff game against Southeast Valley. Algona CSD will dismiss today (February 14th) at 1:15 p.m. There will be no afternoon preschool/prep classes or activities after school.

Reminder- there is No School on Monday, February 17th due to Staff Development.

The 4th Annual Sundae Funday Fundraiser is Tonight from 5-8:30 (or when supply runs out). Sundaes are $5 and all proceeds support the VIPs Music Boosters who help all students K-12 in music programs.
