Spring is officially here, and it is finally starting to warm-up.
Outside Recess Reminders for Spring
Snow pants are no longer required
Students are required to wear boots if they want to play in the field.
Dress in layers - sweatshirt and/or jacket. The mornings are usually very chilly.

Reminder- THERE WILL BE SCHOOL on Wednesday, March 15 instead of teacher professional development.
What a fun day we had yesterday! The whole school kicked off our reading challenge "Blast Off Into Reading!" Mr. Sudol dressed up as an astronaut and we got to watch a video of a real astronaut reading a story from space! Everyone also traveled to the High School in the morning for a pep rally send off for the boys basketball team who played in the state basketball tournament today. After the pep rally the Kindergarten students were able to stay and watch the 5-12 band performance. It was quite the busy day but so much fun!

This morning ACSD had a K-12 pep rally in the AHS gym to celebrate the great things happening at Algona! The sight was impressive! Use the link to watch a recap video.
