Monday, February 7th was the Reading Challenge kickoff at Bertha Godfrey! Our theme this year is Let's Do S'More Reading at Bertha Godfrey. For the next 3 weeks, students will be logging all the books they read and working together as a class to see who wins the top prize of most books read! Each week the children will get a reading log to keep track of the books they read. These books can be ones they read by themselves or books read together with their families. Each reading log is sent home on a Monday and due back the next Monday. For every log slip the child returns, they will be given a sticker for their reading certificate. Then on the last Monday, all the logs will be totaled for each class and a winner announced! Also during this time, there are a variety of reading and camping related activities (and snacks!!!) for everyone to participate in.
Thank you so much to Erin Kuecker for coming and helping us kick off with a sing along around the campfire on Monday!
