Teacher associate positions are currently available at both AMS and AHS. Please see below with information including a job description, pay and benefits.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction and supervision to students under the direction of the teacher.
- Supervise students in the lunchroom, media center, playground, school bus, and the classroom.
- Do clerical work and filing under the supervisor’s direction.
- Assist students with health and hygiene needs.
- Assist students with behavioral needs as directed by special education teacher and principal.
- Ability to be flexible, patient, and calm in sometimes stressful situations.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principals and superintendent.
--STARTING PAY: $13.00/hr--
FULL TIME BENEFITS:
Paid Holidays (Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day)
Personal Illness Leave: 12 Days (First Year of Employment). Increase one per year for 4 years and accumulate up to 100 days.
Personal Leave: Two (2) days of personal leave per year and employees are reimbursed for unused personal days.
6 Weeks maternity leave immediately after the birth of a child.
District will contribute $10/month toward membership at the YMCA. That amount will be matched by the YMCA.
INSURANCE:
The Board agrees to provide, as fringe benefits, to full-time Employees. Medical, Vision, and Hospital Insurance. The Board agrees to pay full single premium for the medical and hospital insurance for each employee ($10,000 benefit)
