The NCC Art Show was held on April 13, 2022, at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. Algona High School students took a variety of creative visual art pieces and did an amazing job.
Lucy Bierstedt took a sculpture. Briana Frankl took a pencil drawing and got second best 2D. She also took an oil painting. Olivia Frankl took a pencil drawing and a charcoal drawing. She earned a judge’s award. Isabella Sneddon took an oil painting and got second best of show. Sneddon also took a multimedia project. Jonathan Meyer took a clay pot. Doris Pena took a sculpture. Shea Thilges and Kylie Skow took a multimedia sculpture. Loralei Brady took an acrylic painting and got first place in people’s choice. Onica Smith got second place in the digital art category. Paige Vileta took a clay sculpture.
Doris Pena states, “I got to meet new people, and our students who went were fun to be around. I love Iowa Central because they gave us all donuts.”
