Spring play 2021

The spring play this year was a murder-mystery comedey called Alibis by Peter Kennedy. The play is based off of the novel The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie.

The plot of the play begins when J. Leslie Arlington is murdered and a beginner detective takes the case. Throughout the show, the detective discovers all of his suspects have committed silly little crimes and they can not come up with an alibi. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats, waiting to see who the actual murderer was.

The cast worked very hard to memorize their lines and block their scenes. The spring play was performed on April 10th and 11th and was quite a success. There were no spectator restrictions, so the show was open to the public.

The cast members this year included: Brayden Bond, Dylan Berte, Harsh Modi, Kylie Skow, Loralei Brady, Madison Nevitt, Riker Brindley, Ryan Merrill, and Shea Thilges. Each member had a specific character that they had to take the role of. For example, Kylie Skow had the role of Doctor Jacqueline Hyde, who was a very dotty chemist.Shea Thilges had the role of Hope Leslie Trite, who was the social butterfly throughout the show. The other cast members got in character for their role too. Dylan Berte played Justin, Riker Brindley was Sandy Lynxe, Brayden Bond was Sir Tanley A. Fraude, Ryan Merrill played Mr. E.S. Solvedd, Loralei Brady played Monique, Harsh Modi was the stranger, and Maddie Nevitt played Sister Bella Donna. Maddie Nevitt states, “I love theatre because you get to become another person and have fun with the rest of the cast!”

The cast did a great job, along with the backstage crew of Wyatt Struecker, Seth Walker, Bella Sneddon, and Kinnick Sullivan. With the help of director Rachel Zeutlau, they put on an amazing show for the community.
