This year, the Night of Academic Excellence was held on March 25th. The Academic Night of Excellence recognizes freshmen and sophomores with a 3.7 GPA and juniors and seniors with a 3.5 GPA.

Following the GPA recognitions, the NCC All Conference Academics were awarded. In order to achieve this honor, senior students have to have a 3.5+ cumulative GPA and a 26+ ACT score. The seniors who were recognized for this honor were Hannah Severson, Waverly Espe, Emerson Waltz, Issac Wilson, and Ryan Weir.

Following the NCC All Conference Academics was the National Honor society induction ceremony. The 27 current senior members: Madison Adams, Kaitlyn Burns, Kayla Buscher, Lydia Dose, Waverly Espe, Evie Guenther, Josie Jennings, Andi Jensen, Olivia Lampe, Jack Limbaugh, Katie Ludwig, Flynn McCann, Lauren McLaughlin, Lillian Miller, Ashton Moreno, Ryley Riggert, Kara Rotert, Haylie Ruehle, Hannah Severson, Ace Studer, Chance Studer, Hailey Talbot, Casey VanOtterloo, Ellie Vaske, Alaina Venteicher, Emerson Waltz, Ryan Weier, and Isaac Wilson helped induct 14 juniors: Brooklyn Adams, Jozzlynne Beaver, Jillian Burns, Tate Carter, Abigail Droessler, Elijah Garrett, Aylee Herke, Jordan Jansen, Macy Knapp, Natalee Reemtsma, Reese Taylor, Summer Thompson, Allison Trunkhill, and Gavin Weber. Dr. Rachel Venteicher was the guest speaker this year. In order to be inducted into the National Honor Society, juniors or seniors have to meet the four pillars of NHS, which include academics, leadership, service, and character.

The new National Honor Society members are now working towards the blood drive as well as keeping up the good work inside and outside of AHS.
