Superstars is an event that has been going on at AHS since 1985. Superstars this year was held on Wednesday, March 26th. The theme this year was Against All Odds, an underdog theme.
Superstars consists of many games and events from yard games, single player games, games with teams, and much more. The points system was based on how many people participated in the different events and their placings. Each grade competes against one another to come out on top!
This year there was a lot of competition between all of the grades. But at the end of the day, the seniors ended up winning with 525 points, then the sophomores with 436.8 points, then the freshmen 280.4 points, and then the juniors with 273.2.
The senior class won many events, like having the most energy during the opening ceremony, quiz bowl, male arm wrestling, putting, ledgeball, pickleball, paper airplane, spikeball, human ladder, weird shuttle relay, euchre, female chipping, female truck push, crab soccer, limbo, hungry hippo, female tug of war, and many drop in events.
The junior class won male dodgeball, male chipping, male truck push, tire bridge, and male tug of war.
The sophomore class won female dodgeball, steal the bacon, rubik’s cube, talent show, 3 point contest, musical chairs, and co-ed tug of war.
The freshmen won class count with 85% of their grade there and female arm wrestling.
Everyone did a great job and played hard. Sophomore, Taylor VanOtterloo, said, “Next year is our year!”
Come back next year for some more great competition and a new winner since the seniors won!
