On February 17th, the AHS Jazz Band competed in Clear Lake, earning their ticket to the Jazz Championships in Ames, for the third consecutive year. The AHS jazz band will compete April 8th, at noon.
Participants include: Axel Mortensen, Allison Trunkhill, Owen Doocy, Emma Smith, Alejandro González, Paul Kissinger, Chance Studer, Ada Kortenber, Landon Meaning, Thomas Espe, Cassidy Bierstedt, Abbie Droessler, Kennedi Blair, Owen Orban, Catherine Hart, Ace Studer, Evan Steburg, David Kissinger, Jaxon Olmstead, Joey Merrill, and Ace Studer.
Bari saxophone player, Catherine Hart, says, “Jazz band is super fun and it's amazing to be a part of the group.”
The band will be competing against bands from across the state for a top three spot to advance farther into the competition.
