The annual AHS pickleball tournament is sponsored by Student Senate. This year it was organized by Abby Lampe and Taylor VanOtterloo. The pickleball tournament was held at the high school on Monday, March 31st. All high school students were able to sign up to participate in the tournament. The cost was ten dollars per team. The winners received prizes and signed a trophy that is now in the display case. This tournament had twenty-four teams and was single elimination.
The champions for the 2025 pickleball tournament were Jojo Struecker and Ryan Weier. Congratulations! Coming in 2nd place was Lainey and Gabby Venteicher, 3rd place was Maya Lentz and Dawson Elsbecker, and 4th place was Nathan Manske and Will Limbaugh. A prize was also given out for best dressed. Lainey and Gabby Venteicher won this in their Dodgeball matching uniforms, but the girls from Scooby-Doo were a close second! Participant of the tournament, Alex Brooks, said, “Every serve is a new chance.”
Congrats to the winners and everyone in attendance; fun was had by all.
