The softball team ended up getting 4th in the North Central Conference. The Bulldogs won both Conference games against Clarion-Goldfield-Dows and split with Clear Lake, Iowa Falls-Alden, and Humboldt.

In the postseason, the Bulldogs ended up making it to the semifinals. Algona played Clear Lake for their first round Regional game and won 3-2. The Bulldogs then played Summer-Fredericksburg for their second round and lost 13-1.

This season the Algona softball team had three players earn All-Conference honors. Kaitlyn Burns and Allison Trunkhill were both named to the 3rd team and Reagan Haynes was named to the first team. Senior, Kaitlyn Burns, said, “I like catching softballs.”

This season the

s

oftball team graduated two seniors: Paige Vileta and Ashley Cantu. They will be dearly missed by our school, softball program, and our community. Next season the softball team will have a number of returners who are excited about the 2025 season.
