FCCLA fall 2024 apple picking

Written by Caitlin Louscher

The AHS FCCLA chapter has been doing great things for the school and community since fall. In November the FCCLA chapter made their annual apple pies and apple crisps for the school and community to buy for Thanksgiving. The chapter made 1100 dollars, which will help them pay for State FCCLA.

After Christmas break FCCLA got right back to work, making chilli and cinnamon rolls for their annual basketball dinner. Lainey Venteicher commented, “ Your loss if you didn’t try our chili.” During the game people were able to get a warm cup of chilli on a cold winter evening. The group made around 700 dollars plus what they made from working the concession stand the same evening.

In the upcoming months, the FCCLA chapter will head to Regionals, where they will learn about how they can make their State projects better. In February, for Valentine's Day, they will be making Crush pop gifts for students, and in March they will head to State FCCLA where they will be judged on their projects. Wishing the best of luck to the FCCLA members.
