Boys’ and girls’ golf practice started on Monday, the thirteenth of March. The boys are coached by Mr. Ford and the girls are coached by Mr. Weier. The teams have been doing their best, having to practice inside because of the current weather conditions. Lola Wolf, a sophomore on the girls’ golf team, expressed her excitement about the upcoming season by saying, “Golf is such a fun sport.”
The 2022 boys’ golf season concluded with a Conference record of 0-7 and an overall record of 3-36. They are hopeful about the upcoming season, having three letter winners returning this year: Harrison Waltz, John Cox, and Austin Steenhoek.
The girls ended their 2022 season with a Conference record of 2-5 and an overall record of 18-19. The girls have three returning letter winners: Abby Brooks, Faith Zeller, and Lainey Venteicher.
Both teams have their respective first matches against West Bend Mallard on April eleventh. The boys travel to West Bend to play at the West Bend Golf Course. The girls’ team plays at home, which for them is River Road Golf Course. Best of luck to both teams, hopefully the weather is on your side this year.
