Mrs. Christensen's class has been working with their business partner, Forge and Build (formerly North Iowa Lumber), for 12 years and their motto is, "Make the World a Better Place." They have been making birdhouses with the high school construction class for the same number of years and each year find a charity to donate to. After SaulPaul's "Be the Change" day, the students created a list of charities and voted. Hilah's Closet and the Ronald McDonald House were the winners. This year's class had a student that stayed at the Ronald McDonald house and the monetary donation and all of the pop tabs we have collected will be delivered there this summer. Dr. Owen, Emmy, Josie and Noelle and Wendy Olmstead came to visit to accept the donation to Hilah's Closet today. Emmy was a past student of Mrs. Christensen and Dr. Owen is known by many in the class since he provides medical care for them. They raised a total of $557!
