The Bulldogs traveled to Hull to take on the NightHawks on September 17th. The night did not go as planned, as the Bulldogs dropped the contest 58-21. Tyler Manske was 50% on passing attempts for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Carlos Gomez was the leading rusher and receiver with 49 yards on the ground on two attempts and 54 yards through the air on two receptions and one touchdown. Luke Carter was the leading tackler with six and a half tackles.
Last Friday, September 24th, the Bulldogs took on North Polk for Homecoming! It was an absolute battle as the Bulldogs won 28-27 in their first District game. The Bulldogs improved to 4-1 while the Comets dropped to 2-3. Tyler Manske was 20 of 31 for 279 yards and three touchdowns. Trevon Smith was the leading rusher and receiver with six attempts on the ground for 66 yards and a touchdown. Smith also had six receptions for 149 yards and a receiving touchdown. Alex Manske was the leading tackler with eight and a half tackles and one tackle for a loss.
Today, Friday, October 1st, the Bulldogs travel to Gilbert to take on the Tigers. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 4-1 record, while the Tigers are 0-5. The game will be livestreamed on the Tiger Broadcast YouTube channel and will be announced on KLGA radio. Tyler Manske said, “This game is big for us to boost our playoff chances. I’m really excited!”
