Last spring, construction started on the new entrance to Bulldog Stadium. The new entrance has the ticket booth, bathrooms, the concession stand, and the Bulldog store. Both teams access the same concession stand and bathrooms now, not separate ones like before. Mr Carter, Alonga’s superintendent, said, “The new improvements are a really cool way to represent our athletes and our kids.” The people who are working the concession stand or the entry gate can still watch the Bulldogs play now. The entrance overlooks the field, so you can see everything going on.
Another new improvement is the scoreboard. It was put in right before the start of school. Mr. Carter added, “This is a great opportunity for businesses in the community to show support through donations and for advertisement.” During touchdowns, players get individual videos or pictures displayed on the scoreboard. It doesn’t stop just there, community businesses that help support the school get advertisements played on the scoreboard as well during the game.
The sounds will be improving as well. Mr. Carter mentioned that there is a sub and an amp that are currently not working, and they are working to fix it.
The new scoreboard and entrance is a nice addition for students, staff, and the community to enjoy.
