Spear's give back to Good Sam 2024

Written by Allee Carr

As the school year winds to a close, so do the advisory give backs. Algona High School does give back activities for the surrounding communities and the school. During advisory time, students and teachers brainstorm different ways to give back. This is a great experience for the students. Students come up with different ideas to give back to the community or school, like raking leaves, picking up trash, making goody bags, donating food, and many other activities.

Some advisories have already done their givebacks. Mr. Connick's advisory provided cookies for teachers and went around handing cookies out. Mrs. Niles’s advisory made holiday cards for area nursing home residents. Mr. McLaughlin’s advisory did a toy drive for Toys for Tots. These are just some of the great give backs students have done at Algona High School! Senior, Haley Briggs, said, “I like being able to give the public something back for everything they do for us!”

So go out and give back to others today!
