Girls' track seniors 2025

The girls’ track team kicked off their outdoor season at the Clear Lake Girls’ Invitational on April 8th. The team finished in first place as a team, competing against seven other teams. Natalie Johnson took home first place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.02. Macy Knapp won first place in the 800 meter run. Maya Lentz also took home a first place medal in the high jump. Other top finishes include Natlaie Johnson with a second place finish in the 200 meter dash. Summer Thompson, Natalie Johnson, Lilly Allie, and Kaitlyn Burns finished in 3rd place in the 4x100 meter relay. Andi Jensen, Regan Jensen, Charli Dodds, and Malyn Davis finished 3rd in the 4x800 meter relay. Alyssa Miller finished 3rd in the 100 meter hurdles. The 100 meter shuttle hurdle relay finished in 2nd, consisting of Deitra Broesder, Alissa Engel, Alyssa Miller, and Sienna Fehr. Mara Davis finished second in the 3000 meter run. Summer Thompson placed 3rd in the long jump. Reagan Haynes also finished second in discus. 

The AHS girls’ track and field team also competed in Eagle Grove, on April 10th. Natalie Johnson took home another first place finish in the 100 meter dash, Regan Jensen placed first in the 800 meter run, and Mara Davis also placed first in the 1500 meter run. Maya Lentz took another first place finish in the high jump for the Bulldogs. 

The team continued their outdoor season hosting a home meet on April 25th. At this meet, the senior athletes were honored: Kaitlyn Burns, Malyn Davis, Andi Jensen, Haylie Ruehle, Kayla Buscher, and Madison Adams. The team won yet another meet with significant wins by Natalie Johnson in the 100 meter dash, Macy Knapp in the 800 meter run, who also set a new record, Maya Lentz in high jump, and Reagan Haynes in discus. 

The Bulldogs traveled to Buffalo Center on the 17th and go to Spirit Lake on April 22nd.
