On Thursday, September 26, AHS had eight students participate in the Regional Model United Nations Conference at NIACC in Mason City. During the conference, students are split into different committees to tackle international problems and work with other schools to write a position paper outlining possible solutions to issues such as Transnational Crime and Humanitarian Aid. Algona students represented AHS so well that 7 of our students were recognized by their peers and were awarded Outstanding Delegate or Alternate Delegate designations. Those students were Waverly Espe, Emerson Waltz, Maximo Mendoza-Partida, Flynn McCann, Joseph Struecker, Hannah Severson and Evie Guenther!
