With the end of the school year approaching, there is something else to look forward to: May Term! May Term is an event that happens at the end of the year, with various activities students can choose from. May Term is designed to be a break at the end of the year but also to help build some lifelong skills.
The May Term mission is to “provide enriching experience to develop lifelong skills and interests.” It is also meant to: “Build relationships between staff and students.” There are a variety of options to hopefully meet an interest for every student, from learning about service departments in our county, such as police and emergency medical services, to learning how to play card games and even go on college visits.
May Term is offered for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, and takes place on May 20th and May 21st. All students participating need to be at the school by 8:20, and most of them will be done by 3:30, but a couple options include overnight adventures.
Make sure to be signed up and come with an open mind to your activity. Have fun at May Term AHS students!
