This Sunday, March 24th, is the 77th annual AHS FFA banquet. During this event, there will be an awards ceremony, a meal, and an auction, with proceeds going towards scholarships.
Starting at 4:00 in the PAC is the awards recognition ceremony. All FFA members will be recognized for their contributions and participation in the 2023-2024 school year. Scholarships will also be given out at this time to current AHS seniors.
Also during the ceremony, there will be the new officer installation. The current 2023-2024 officers are Ace Studer, student advisor; Logan Lentz, secretary; Reid Louwagie, president; Morgan Kelly, vice president; Jacob Schutter, reporter; Ian Fehr, sentinel; and Carlee Allen, treasurer. These officers will lead the ceremony until they hand off their duties to next year’s officer team. The officers for the 2024-2025 year are Ace Studer as the president, Tucker Brunsvold as the vice-president, Cassidy Bierstedt as the secretary, Morgan Fraker as the reporter, Malea Divis as the treasurer, and Harold Reynolds as the sentinel.
Following the ceremony, FFA members and all in attendance will move to the AHS commons for a meal. The Algona FFA Alumni Scholarship Auction will occur at the end of the meal. Proceeds from this event go to the scholarships given to FFA students next year.
