The Bulldogs kept rolling as they continued their undefeated season with a record of 11-0 after hosting Greene County. The Bulldogs hosted (9-1) Greene County on November 8th in the State semifinals. Algona took advantage early in the game, within a minute Elliot Berkland took off for a 52-yard touchdown run followed by a successful PAT kicked by Isaac Schonert, making the score 7-0. After a mishandled punt attempt by Greene County, the Dogs set themselves up with great field position. Running back, Garrett Schmidt, ran in a 23-yard touchdown just after three plays. The Bulldogs led the Rams 14-0 in the first quarter. On the first play of the second quarter, Sammonte Bawden took it to the house from 43 yards out, followed by a third PAT, making it 21-0. On the defensive side, the Bulldogs gathered three interceptions coming from seniors Patrick David and Sammonte Bawden and junior Noah Nelson.
